Refunds and replacement
Last updated: 29 August 2026
Two commitments, and we have tried to write them so there is nothing to discover later.
1. The 15-day refund
Fifteen days, counted from the day access is handed over to you rather than from the day you paid. Inside that window you can stop for any reason — the account is not performing, the workflow does not suit you, your plans changed, or you simply decided against it. Email us and it is done.
You get back the full amount you paid us for that rental. We do not deduct a handling fee, we do not pro-rate it for the days you used, and we do not ask you to complete a form explaining yourself.
How to use it: email hello@profileonrent.com from the address you used on the form, saying you want to stop. We confirm within one working day, arrange the handback with the owner, and return the money by the same route you paid it. Card refunds usually land in three to five working days, bank transfers in one to three.
What the owner gets. The account owner is paid pro rata for the days their account was actually in use. That comes out of our side, not yours and not theirs, because neither of you did anything wrong.
2. Free replacement, for the life of the rental
After the first fifteen days the rental continues month to month, and the replacement commitment runs for as long as it does. If a profile stops working, we replace it.
“Stops working” covers the realistic failure modes:
- The account is restricted, locked or disabled by the platform.
- The account is put behind a verification wall that cannot be cleared.
- The owner withdraws it, whether with notice or without.
- The account turns out not to match what we told you — wrong age, inflated audience, undisclosed restriction history.
The replacement is matched on the things that made the original worth renting: platform, account age, audience size and region. We aim to have it with you inside 48 hours, and we will tell you honestly if a narrow requirement is going to take longer. There is no limit on how many times this can happen and no extra charge at any point. If we cannot find you a match, you get a refund of the unused time instead — your choice, not ours.
3. What is not covered
The replacement commitment assumes the account was used the way both sides agreed. It does not apply where:
- Sending limits in the account brief were exceeded.
- Content was posted that breaks the platform's own policies.
- The owner's content rules were broken.
- The use was one we refuse outright — impersonation, harassment, scams, political astroturfing, adult content. These are listed on the trust and safety page and in section 7 of the terms.
In those cases there is no replacement and no refund, and the renter remains responsible to the owner for the rest of the agreed term, because the owner lost something real through somebody else's decision.
4. Stopping after the first 15 days
The arrangement is monthly and rolling. Give us 14 days notice before the next invoice and it stops cleanly with nothing further to pay. Time already invoiced and used is not refunded after the 15-day window, because the owner has already been paid for it — but if the reason you want to stop is that a profile is not working, that is a replacement question rather than a refund question, and section 2 applies.
5. If you are an account owner
Nothing here costs you anything. You are paid for every day your account is genuinely in use, including the days inside a renter's 15-day window. If a renter breaks your content rules or exceeds the agreed limits, the rental ends, you keep what you have been paid, and they cover the remainder of the term. If you want your account back, 14 days notice is the normal route, and you can stop immediately if you believe the account is at risk.
6. Questions and disagreements
Email hello@profileonrent.com and a person will answer. If we disagree about whether something is covered, we will put our reasoning in writing rather than pointing at a clause. This policy forms part of the terms of service.
Fifteen days to decide it is not for you
That is a real offer, not a marketing line. Send the requirements and see what comes back.
